Message from the President
Kyosemi Corporation was founded in April 1980 in Kyoto, Japan, as a venture company manufacturing opto-semiconductor devices. For over 36 years, we have overcome many trials; expanded our bases from Kyoto to include sites in Tokyo, Hokkaido, and Silicon Valley; and strengthened our position in the market as a specialist opto-semiconductor device manufacturer. For this I express my heartfelt gratitude to all of Kyosemi’s customers and stakeholders.
Our opto-semiconductors are used in optical communication devices and photo devices for sensors for applications such as communications infrastructure, industrial equipment, medicine, security, and appliances. We predict demand will increase in a variety of fields, while the importance and technical complexity of these products will also grow. To respond to the latest needs of our customers, our development, production, and sales divisions are working together to manufacture products that take advantage of our high degree of specialization and proprietary technologies. I wish for us to further improve our specialization and proprietary technologies, and contribute to the realization of a richer future as a proposal-based business expert that works on development collaboratively with customers.
Now, founder Josuke Nakata leaves his management role at Kyosemi and turns to devote himself to management at Sphelar Power Corporation, a company involved in the production and sale of spherical micro solar cells. As a result, I have been named to the position of President and Representative Director. With a commitment to expanding business through production and trust, a foundational principle at Kyosemi, I promise that we will make every effort to provide stand-out opto-semiconductor devices and services to meet the expectations of our customers and stakeholders.
Those of us at Kyosemi appreciate your understanding, and humbly ask for your continued support.
